Setup Guide

Flash your device, pair your phone, pick a channel, and send your first off‑grid text.

1) Pick hardware

  • Heltec T114 / V3: screen + compact.
  • LILYGO T‑Beam v1.2: GPS + 18650 bay.
  • LILYGO T‑Echo: wearable‑friendly.

Match the regional band (e.g., 915 MHz US, 868 MHz EU) and grab a decent antenna.

2) Flash firmware

  1. Use the official Web Flasher or desktop flasher.
  2. Connect via USB, select your board, flash latest stable.
  3. After flash, reboot if it doesn’t auto‑reboot.

CLI fans can use pip install meshtastic then the meshtastic tool over serial.

3) Pair the app

  1. Install Meshtastic app (Android/iOS).
  2. Turn on the device, open the app, pair via Bluetooth.
  3. Give your node a name and owner.
